I’ve accepted the fact that there’s just no way I can have a clean house while work commences and sawdust is flying ! Every time I attempt to dust or organize I have to empty yet another closet so Scott can build shelves. It’s amazing how much junk is stuffed into my coat closet , and boy does it spread out when it’s transferred to the pool table. Do we ‘really’ need ALLLLLL those coats??
And, Ah Ha! That’s where I stored allll those dishes! Yep! This house will likely not be neat and tidy until our belongings are packed, sold or donated and the house is staged to sell. I have surrendered to the mayhem that is my life! Sooooo , today I decided I could at least carve out a tiny bit of a semblance of neatness outside. Don’t worry, when I say ‘outside’, I don’t mean anywhere near Scott’s ‘man-cave’ (also known as his workshop!). That area is where the magic is happening! When I say ,’ Magic’, I mean cabinetry! He’s cranking out the most amazing custom drawers and cabinets and woodwork that makes me , at times, forget ( well, maybe not forget exactly!),but temporarily eases the pain of the unending dust and mess that is our home! Today I claimed my patio’s around the house and the front yard. I swept and trimmed and raked and hosed and weeded! While I’m drowning in the disaster that is the interior of my house at the moment, I can now look out the windows and pretend that I’m civilized 😊. Soon the rain will start , the leaves will pile up once again and the weeds will appear out of nowhere . Oh, and like magic also out of ‘nowhere ‘, there will be tools, ladders, wood, nails, and more tools strewn about ! Alas! Progress is happening and evidence of Scott and his worker Bob, getting our house ready to sell means this house will be messy! Oh well!

Of course you need the coats – I have a collection of coats and jackets – all black. I keep wearing the same coat or jacket. I should become more adventurous and buy a coat/jacket in a different color.

One of my favorite places is your patio 🙂 I have enjoyed many times sitting out there with coffee just day dreaming of past, GREAT memories, and wishful dreams that were never meant to be. I have been thinking of you and wondering about Haloween now I have my answer, Scott is in charge of decoration. How many garage salea will you need to have I wonder. You could theme them of course coats only this week and plates next week. At this rate you will have so much money you will be a millionaire ..Love Elaine
Hollyween…..sigh….. Yes, I am missing the extravaganza ! I already sold alllll my decor! Can you believe it! It was good fun but time for something different. I’ll be having a big yard sale in the spring, lots of stuff to get rid of. But doubtful that we will get rich! Darn! Cheers!
