Giving Thanks on Thanksgiving Day!

Natalie and Pat and Mariah joined us

It was a beautiful warm sunny thanksgiving day and as usual Scott and I spent most of the day happily preparing a delicious meal to share. This year my house was just too cluttered with boxes, tools, and just a general explosion of messiness to invite many people over so we kept it simple.

But far be it from Scott to keep the food simple, noooo, it was his usual gourmet spread! I’m grateful for spending the day with my best friend sharing time together, helping cook and opening our home to share with those we are closest to. Every holiday season is a special time of year but this being a year of transition for us makes our time with family ever so much more important for us and we are both looking forward to enjoying and appreciating our usual traditions.

Mocha pecan and traditional prumpkin pie! Oh ya!

About hollycarter184

Life is Good! But it's time for a change, and more adventure! I'd like to share the whole experience of preparing then actually making a reality of expatriating, and moving to a new country. It's an exciting, and slightly scary move full of possibility . I'm looking forward to learning a new language and making new connections with the people who share our spirit of adventure. This blog is my way of continuing my connection with my friends and family in the States. Sooooo here it goes! :)
