Christmas in Boquete, Panama

I found some pictures online of Christmas in Boquete , Panama! I was glad to see what appears to be a Christmas tree farm! But who knows if it’s still there, things change. I’ll bring my fake tree( to Scott’s horror!) just in case a real tree isn’t easy to find !

Im relieved to see that they have elves in Panama, whew!

Meanwhile, here are some pictures of the Festival Of Lights Parade from last weekend ( 11/25/12). I walked into town to take in the festivities one last time. It was a very pleasant evening. I bundled up but soon realized I really didn’t need my gloves and I was suffocating with the warm scarf! A typical California Christmas, that’s for sure! As usual, I just really enjoyed being a part of such a ‘small town’ tradition. The floats were adorable and I especially get a kick out of all the marching bands! I was glad to run into a few friends so I could enjoy it with people I know. I always let Scott use his “Pass” card for the parade since its pure torture for him! That poor man gets dragged to countless social events with me and although he doesn’t really mind it too much I totally understand when he’d rather stay in and relax. This weekend I plan to decorate our monster tree! Mariah will be helping me which I’m really looking forward to.

Life is Good! But it's time for a change, and more adventure! I'd like to share the whole experience of preparing then actually making a reality of expatriating, and moving to a new country. It's an exciting, and slightly scary move full of possibility . I'm looking forward to learning a new language and making new connections with the people who share our spirit of adventure. This blog is my way of continuing my connection with my friends and family in the States. Sooooo here it goes! :)
