  1. It’s funny how the simple things in life can make us sooo happy! D and I are constantly talking about making our own juice and smoothies with all the wonderful fresh fruit we will have at our disposal in Panama (something that just isn’t readily available here in the northern parts of Canada – lol) They look so yummy ……… and I bet they tasted just as good as they looked!

  2. I peel and slice extra bananas and put them in the freezer, and they are perfect for popping in a blender. How is banana with orange and peanut butter? I never would have thought of peanut butter.

It’s avocado season here. I made an avocado and pineapple smoothie yesterday. It was surprisingly thick and creamy, but needed sweetener and still wasn’t as good as a fruit smoothie. http://www.marthastewart.com/274790/avocado-recipes/@center/276955/seasonal-produce-recipe-guide My daughter sent me that link and I got the idea from there. I need to try the chocolate pudding recipe!

It seems like any fruit, if I ask my neighbor what she does with it – water, ice, sugar, and fruit – in the blender!

  3. Holly, been following your adventure and am loving it. When you find some nice avocados make an avocado batido (smoothy) ingredients: avocado, ice cubes, milk, sugar and blend into the most heavenly drink you will ever have…I know avocado is for guacamole or a salad..please try this you will be so happy you did…have fun on your adventure.
