This morning I joined the local hiking group for a beautiful hike up in the hills surrounding Boquete. We met in front of Amigos restaurant at 8:00am. Last weekend it was just Scott and I and the two leaders of the group Jere and Remi. This week there were about nine of us so I got to meet some new people, which I love. There was a couple from Arizona who are staying in Boquete for a month and a nice women from Australia who is just having a lovely adventure , a lady from New Mexico who just moved here a few months ago, a young man and his eight year old son from England who are living here with the rest of the family, and a really nice young women with her fourteen year old son who live here with the rest of their family which includes the husband and five other children,they are originally from Southern California and have lived in Boquete for about a year after having lived in Costa Rica for a couple of years before. What a diverse and extremely adventurous group of people! I just love it!! It’s hard to decide what I enjoy most, getting acquainted with a group of great people or exploring the majestic trails that wander up and around this truly spectacular area. Let The Adventure "Continue"!

Up until today, I have found your adventure interesting but not one that would draw me to that area. BUT—after seeing your hiking pictures from today, I am changing my thoughts—what a great place to hike—great views—it looking just like a place that I would love to hike. It reminds me of Rancho San Antonio Open Space–keep up the hiking–loving the pictures!
Oh yea! I knew you would like that! I gotta tell you, over half the group were your age and I’m ashamed to say, I was struggling to keep up!! They do quite a bit of hiking and just seemed tireless to me. And there are several other hiking groups, this one meets on Thursday and Saturday but there are others that meet on different days so one could connect with a group and do a different hike everyday. There are apparently many many trails to explore! Too fun!
