So far, living in Panama has had some challenges. Surprisingly, not as many challenges as I had actually expected. Of course I’ve had a lot to adjust to, and believe me, adjusting hasn’t been the biggest challenge . I expected to need a bit of time to settle in to a much different way of living, which is exactly what we were looking for. We certainly didn’t make a move like this to have all the same things we had in California! Learning Spanish has indeed been a pretty big challenge and will continue to be a challenge for a long, long time to come, but its not the hardest thing I’ve faced. The challenge of learning how and where to find certain things I want or need was something that I was prepared to deal with and although, at times a little frustrating, certainly nothing that makes me bang my head against the wall. Don’t get me wrong, my ‘tranquilo’ has often times waned as I’ve muddled through adjusting to some of the insane inefficiencies I’ve been faced with. Before our move I wondered if I would make new friends in my new home and wow! That has not been a problem at all. I speak English! Regretably, I’ve never learned another language. Hell, You can likely deduce from my often juvenile writing , that my proper grasp of the English language could use some help! On an immersion trip to Costa Rica many moons ago, I failed miserably on my first incredibly weak attempt to learn the Spanish language, (what does ‘Conjugate’ mean anyways??) In spite of my early failure, one of my first goals upon arriving in my new adopted country is to begin the long and arduous process of learning the language
Ok…… I am embarssed!!! 😝😁. I promise I know where Seattle is!!!! Really, really I doooooooo! This blogging idea is gonna be challenging for me! I don’t quite know how to edit yet so after I push that “Publish” button it’s just gone forever. So for the record, Seattle is in Washington! Darn it! Note to self……. Read and RE-read before pushing that button! Please forgive my sometimes lame attempt to write. I hope my writing skills improve in time but until then, I really feel very humbled by how vulnerable it feels to share my thoughts via the written word. Im much better at just talking !!!! But I really love to dive in and learn new things these days soooooooo I will keep tryin! :). After I posted this I learned how to edit so the mistake I had made on the previous post is magically gone! Tada!…… But I’ll share with you what my boo boo was so you can appreciate my horror . I said that the blogger who I follow, Dano, is from Seattle, Oregon !!! I’m pretty sure that won’t be my last silly error, I know you all will love me in spite of my very un-skilled writing abilities! 😁. Lol!
